Please go directly to the Admitting Department to check in. Please make sure to leave all jewelry, cash and other valuables at home. Do not wear any make-up or hair clips and be sure to wear comfortable clothing. Don't forget to bring a case for your eyeglasses if needed. Remind your family and/or friends that visitors are not allowed in the recovery room. We ask that they stay in the waiting area while you are in surgery. Your doctor will discuss the results of the surgery with them afterward in the waiting area.

After Surgery

Your hospital stay will depend on the type of procedure you have had. Outpatient procedures allow the patient to go home within 24 hours. Inpatient surgery recovery times will vary. Be sure to arrange for transportation home since you will not be allowed to drive yourself following surgery. This is for your own safety. You will receive postoperative instructions from your doctor or nurse before leaving the hospital. Once you are home, if you have any questions regarding these instructions, please call your doctor for clarification.
