Surgical Weight Loss

Parkview's Center for Surgical Weight Loss, an MBSAQIP accredited Comprehensive Center, has board certified, fellowship surgeons who perform more than 300 weight loss surgeries at Parkview each year. We are also a Center of Excellence for Blue Cross, Blue Shield, United Health Resources, Cigna and Aetna.

Parkview has designated private patient rooms which have been designed to address our surgical weight loss patients' special needs. A nurse coordinator oversees the program, and staff has been specially trained to deliver post-op care required to meet the needs of our bariatric patients.

In addition to offering surgical weight loss (bariatric) surgery, Parkview Hospital is unique in providing pre-operative and post-operative care including physician consultations, education, dietary counseling and surgical follow-up at our licensed outpatient clinic located in a suite on our hospital campus. Recognizing that surgery is only the first step in the process to long-term weight loss, we provide ongoing consultation to support dietary and other lifestyle changes necessary to complement the surgery.
