San Gabriel Valley Medical Center Marks Holiday Season with Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony Celebrating Staff and Community
SAN GABRIEL, Calif. – San Gabriel Valley Medical Center, a cornerstone of healthcare in the region for more than 60 years, kicked off the holiday season with its cherished annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony, honoring the dedication of its doctors, nurses, and staff while spreading joy throughout the community.
The ceremonial lighting of the tree was performed by Senior Executive Vice President of AHMC Healthcare Linda Marsh. Visibly moved, Ms. Marsh addressed the gathered employees, saying, “I am deeply honored to light this tree and to personally thank each of you for going above and beyond every single day. Your compassion and commitment to our patients and this community inspire us all.”
Among the distinguished guests was San Gabriel City Councilmember John Wu, who praised the hospital’s longstanding service to the area’s multicultural population. “For over six decades, San Gabriel Valley Medical Center has been a trusted partner in meeting the healthcare needs of our diverse community,” Councilmember Wu stated. “We are grateful for your unwavering dedication.”
Tarinder Khatkar, Interim CEO of San Gabriel Valley Medical Center, joined in expressing heartfelt appreciation to the hospital’s employees for their tireless efforts in serving patients and the broader San Gabriel Valley.
As always, the event’s biggest celebrity made a grand entrance: Santa Claus himself arrived bearing gifts and holiday cheer for the hardworking physicians, nurses, and medical staff, delighting everyone in attendance.
The celebration not only lifted the spirits of the hospital’s dedicated team but also served as an opportunity for staff and community members to donate new, unwrapped toys for needy children throughout the San Gabriel Valley.
“This annual tradition is our way of saying thank you to the extraordinary men and women who make San Gabriel Valley Medical Center a beacon of healing and hope,” said Linda Marsh. “Their service, especially during the holidays, reminds us all of the true meaning of this season.”
