Breastfeed LA (breastfeedla.org): Works to improve the health and well being of infants and families through education, outreach, and advocacy to promote and support breastfeeding.

LA County Department of Public Health (Programs): Assists with maternal, child, and adolescent health. The LA County Department of Public Health sponsors a breastfeeding program to ensure that women and families have access to breastfeeding education, support and resources in clinics and hospitals, at work or school, and in every community.

Livehealthonline (livehealthonline.com/lactation/): Offers breastfeeding support:

LA Best Babies Network (labestbabies.org): Coordinates the work of organizations that are dedicated to improving the health of pregnant women, newborns and their families.

La Leche League (https://www.llli.org/): Helps mothers worldwide breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education, and by promoting a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother.

Maternal Mental Health Now (maternalmentalhealthnow.org): Assists withprevention, screening, and treatment of prenatal and postpartum depression in Los Angeles County.

San Gabriel Valley Breast Milk Depot at Emanate Health Queen of the Valley Hospital: Provides donor breast milk for NICU infants.626.851.2718

Women, Infants, and Children/WIC (wicprograms.org/co/ca-los_angeles): Provides supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women. All WIC Centers offer breastfeeding information and support, including individual and group education and one-on-one support in person and by telephone; breast pump loans; education on baby behavior and understanding a baby's cues; referral to other needed services.
