Intensive Care Units

Our Intensive Care Units (ICU) are specially designed to meet the needs of critical and cardiac patients. We provide constant monitoring and care by highly trained critical care nursing staff.

Monterey Park Hospital provides intensive care medicine that focuses on the major systems of the body, including:

cardiovascular
gastrointestinal (GI) tract
central nervous system
respiratory system.

Family and Visitors

While caring for the patient is our first priority, we know the patient is not the only person affected by the situation. We recognize that the hospital and certainly the ICU may be unfamiliar to many visitors and family members. Our staff will make every effort to ease this stressful time by being sensitive to your needs and concerns.

Available Resources

If you need assistance, our social workers are available to help patients and families adjust to the ICU and deal with repercussions of the patient's hospitalization. Social workers have access to community resources to help families plan for the future and adapt to the changes each new situation brings.
