Mother Baby Department

Parkview's Mother Baby Department is capable of handling most high-risk obstetric cases, and our level III/community level neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) stands ready to assist premature babies and newborns who require intensive care.

We recognize the importance of every hour of the day when taking care of a newborn, especially within the first several days. At Parkview, mom and baby are kept together throughout the length of their stay.

We encourage fathers or significant others to spend the night! A complimentary meal coupon will be provided for the mother's support person. The average stay for a vaginal delivery is 1-2 days and 2-3 days for cesarean delivery.

State law requires you to protect your infants by securing them in a federally approved car seat at all times while they are a passenger in any vehicle, including your trip home from the hospital. Please be sure to have your driver bring the car seat with them on the day you go home.

Come celebrate a very special birthday with us - your baby's!
